About
GESCO – General Superintendence Company Ltd., was established in 1932 and is the sole agent in Israel of the SGS Group of companies of Geneva, Switzerland.
The company handles inspections of a vast range of commodities of goods and materials from food, grains, minerals, chemicals, gases, consumer goods, to basically everything that is traded between parties.
In addition, the company audits third parties for everything needed to be checked and verified, from ISO audits, social audits, manufacturing audits, health and safety audits, and internal company audits.
Draft survey, ship’s inspection, customs clearance, and logistics are also among the Company’s expertise.
The company employs about 50 full time employees and inspectors through four offices in Israel: Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ashdod and Eilat Harbor. The main office is in Holon, at Premium Center.
Among the clients of the company are: the flour mills in Israel, the soybeans crushers, the oil refineries, petroleum companies, Dead Sea Works, chemical and petrochemical companies, the feed mills and the feed grain importers, steel and metal importers, and different food importers.
Certificates issued by the company are accepted by banks and insurance companies and are used in letters of credit and international commodity trade, so the findings bind the parties to the transaction.
